I’ve developed a wood composite from wood damaged by spruce bark beetle, for 3D printing. I’ve used the material to design and produce a furniture collection inspired by the patterns the beetle digs beneath the spruce tree’s bark.

An aesthetically interesting work that takes 3D printing technology a step further. New technology and material development trans- form wood damaged by spruce bark beetle into a new raw material, which in this furniture collection has been given sculptural, spatial, artistic and textile qualities.
