The Ung Svensk Form winners participate in a touring exhibition of the best of young Swedish design. They also have the chance to get grants and scholars from different companies.
Arvet – Travel scholarship (architecture)
The Arvet Travel Scholarship provides an insight into a global knowledge exchange in architecture. This includes architecture’s social responsibility and an understanding of the renewable material that is wood.
IKEA – Working grant & accommodation
IKEA offers one of the Young Swedish Design nominees a five-month working scholarship at IKEA of Sweden, including pay and accommodation in Älmhult.
Kvadrat – Exhibition grant
Kvadrat awards a scholarship comprising a cash sum and the opportunity to put on an exhibition in Kvadrat’s showroom in Stockholm.
Lammhults Möbel – Exhibition grant
Lammhults Möbel awards a scholarship in the form of prototype production, access to Lammhults’ product development team and publicity about the project during the year as scholarship holder.
Massive Entertainment – Working grant
A working scholarship that includes a six-month paid internship focusing on the design of clothing, accessories and skins in game production at Massive Entertainment.
Röhsska museet & Dynamo Väst – Working grant
Through a paid position at the Röhsska Museum, the scholarship recipient gains an insight into how designers and artists can play key roles in working in the public space.
String Furniture – Working grant
The scholarship encompasses a cash sum and the opportunity to both develop a prototype to finished product and to take part at String Furniture’s stand at one of the upcoming furniture fairs.
The Swedish Leather & Fur Industry Foundation – Study trip
All participants in Young Swedish Design, along with a number of new members, are offered a workshop visit to a tannery in Sweden. There is the opportunity to apply for two 3–5 day working scholarships of SEK 20,000 each.
Stockholm Furniture Fair – Exhibition scholarship
The scholarship winner has the chance to exhibit in a separate stand at the Greenhouse section in 2024. The winner will be announced on day one of the 2023 Stockholm Furniture Fair.
